Our Purpose

A traveler through Pismo Beach once told me that Ventura is “The last small beach town” (before the central coast gives way to the chaos that is LA). I found the sentiment to be charming and felt that it captured the essence of Ventura. Even though Ventura has a population of over 100,000 residents I feel that it still operates as an “everybody knows everybody” small town where the locals whose families have been here for generations hold the key to all the things you need to know. Ventura society can be hush hush on everything from the best beaches to the best burger spots to the mysteries of the school of choice program. You have to be “in the know” to get the best of Ventura. With the help of some kind Ventura-raised neighbors and friends and the several years I have spent exploring Ventura with my young children I have compiled the knowledge to help unlock the keys to all that Ventura has to offer. Whether you want to know the best beach to take a 2 year old to or the neighborhood most suited for your growing family's needs, I am here to be your guide!
