Museum of Ventura County- 4 different locations- The Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula has free admission and a neat kids area. See location and time details here

Oak Park Wading Pool- free splash pool in Santa Barbara for kids 7 and under. Open noon-5 daily. Located at 502 W. Alamar Street Santa Barbara, CA 93105. See their website here.

Rori’s Ice Cream - Free kid scoop with adult purchase 3-4 daily - multiple SoCal locations- the Ventura branch opened recently in downtown Ventura
Yard House - 3-6 M-F - lots of great food items on happy hour- it’s loud in there- kid-friendly!
Rumfish - 3-6 M-F | 3-5 Sat | 2-5 Sun
Red Robin- Half Price Kids Meals on Wednesdays

Movie Theatres (the cheap ones):
Regency 6 SanBuenaventura has $6 movies every Tuesday and other cheap movie times. The kids snack packs are pretty cheap too ~$5.
The Santa Paula Regency Theatre is cheaper than the others around. While it is not newly renovated it DOES have the good reclining seats.

Padaro Beach Grill- This Carpinteria restaurant has a large outdoor seating area and a sandpit for kids to play in. It’s a great place to get a bite to eat without worrying about your littles disturbing other guests.See their website here.

SB Zoo- The Santa Barbara Zoo is a perfect zoo for families. It is a good size, with a fun train and a great playground. Make it more affordable by purchasing a membership if you plan to go often :). See the Zoo’s Website here.

Paradise Cove Beach Cafe- This Malibu restaurant is on a private stretch of beach and is such a fun place to spend a day! You can dine with your toes in the sand then head out to the sand and take a dip in the ocean or explore the shoreline before heading out. The menu is pricey, but the portions are HUGE- plan to share! Parking is $10 weekdays, $15 on weekends WITH validation- much more if you do not eat. Chair and umbrella rentals are also available.
