THE DETAILS:

Ventura Boat Rentals is conveniently located in Ventura Harbor. Walk down the dock across from Andria’s Seafood Restaurant to find the rental booth on the boat dock. From there you can rent a variety of types of boats. Electric boats, kayaks, paddle boards and a variety of pedal boats are available to rent. You will need a credit card and an ID to leave with the boat company staff when you head out on your excursion. Life jackets are provided. Boats are first come, first serve. Reservations can be made in advanced for private tours and private charter vessels. See their website here.

HOT TIPS:

You will often see sea lions lounging about on the docks or playing in the water. They’re typically friendly, but can be a bit too playful at times. I recommend giving them some space to avoid being knocked off a paddle board.

You might occasionally catch a glimpse of a dolphin or 2 like we did in the video below!

Park near the liquor store or in front of Margarita Villa for easy access to the boat dock from the parking lot.

Be aware that the line sometimes get lengthy and typically does not move fast. If adventuring with little ones I recommend having one adult take them to explore around or play in the grass field next to Deep Sea Wine Tasting until the other adult reached the front of the line to sign waivers and get the boats.

Ventura Boat Rentals is conveniently located in the Ventura Harbor which is home to many great restaurants and shops.
